They walked around the village for a while longer, listening to more stories from
their grandparents.
"I'm getting hot!" grumbled John. "How about a swim?"
"He?e" said Etseh. "It's been a long day. Let's get back in the
canoes and paddle to that island over there. We'll make camp and then you can
swim."
"But why can't we camp here?" whined John. "I'm too tired to paddle any more."
"If we camp on that island we'll have a nice breeze to keep the bugs away," explained
Etseh "There shouldn't be any bears either."
"Ok, let's go!" agreed John.
