Parmi ceux qu'il a aidés, on trouve Frank Russell (Université d'Iowa Natural History Expedition, 1892-1894), Edward Alexander Preble (United States Department of Agriculture Biological Survey, 1903-1904) et David E. Wheeler (Muskox hunting expeditions, 1910, 1912-1913).
