Other Villages on the Trail

The other seasonal villages located on the Idaa trail are Dèta'aa Ts'ahtì Kogolaa (situated on a small lake north of Rae), Xàelii Whaédoò Kogolaa (located on Marian Lake, or Ihdaak'? Tì), and K'agooti Kogolaa (pictured on the right, located on Hislop Lake, or K'aagoo Tì). These villages were usually only occupied in the winter. All four villages on the trail were abandoned following the influenza epidemic of 1928/29.
